  1. What is the Genesis Difference?

    Answer: Genesis Fundraising not only helps your organization raise money each and every month through product sales on our website www.myonlinedonation.com, we also provide your group the opportunity to receive an additional randomly selected donation of up to $25,000.00 if your group sells a minimum of one hundred (100) units within a qualifying calendar month.

  2. Do we need to buy any products once we sign up?

    Answer: No. There is no obligation to purchase any products at any time. SEE AGREEMENT

  3. Do we need to purchase a minimum number of products per month?

    Answer: No. Donors can purchase whatever number of products they wish at any time for the benefit of your organization. However, if your organization wishes to qualify for a potential random donation of up to $25,000.00, your organization must purchase a minimum of one hundred (100) units of fundraising products within a qualifying calendar month.   4. How will Genesis send us our monthly earned profits?

    Answer: Profits from product sales are paid on the 10th of every month for the previous month's sales. SEE AGREEMENT

  5. How do we qualify to get into the monthly donation pool?

    Answer: Simply be having your donors purchase a minimum of one hundred (100) units of products this calendar month.

  6. Does buying products guarantee us of receiving a donation?

  7. Once we sign up, how do we market the program to our interested member / donors?

    Answer: We have included a Marketing How-To kit for your convenience. As we work with other nonprofit organizations around the country, we update the How-To kit with improved ideas and suggestions.

  8. If we are selected to receive a random donation, when are we notified?

    Answer: Immediately.

  9. How do we know if a member / donor has bought a product in our behalf?

    Answer: Once your organization completes the Fundraising Agreement and documents your nonprofit status, we set up User Name and password protected account so that your management team can monitor your progress in real time. This is one of our program's most important features. SEE ACCOUNT DEMO

  10. Where do donors go to select products?

    Answer: Our product selection website is www.myonlinedonation.com.

  11. How do we know what donation zone we are in?

    Answer: Simply by identifying what state your organization resides. Some Donation Zones are individual states and some are groups of multiple states. SEE DONATION ZONES

  12. How do donors pay for products selected?

    Answer: Once your donor designates your organization and products selected, they will proceed to checkout with our secured internet financial service provider, PayPal, who will process all payments. Genesis Fundraising does not manage or retain any information regarding your donors' credit card purchases.

  13. How are products shipped to donors?

    Answer: All products are normally shipped within 2-10 business days by parcel post or U.S. Mail.

  14. What will the program cost our organization in fees or membership dues?

    Answer: There are no fees or dues to join our program. Our only requirement, once you have completed the Fundraising Agreement and documented your organization's nonprofit status, is to purchase a minimum of one hundred (100) products within any calendar month if your organization wishes to qualify for a random donation from Genesis of up to $25,000.00.

  15. How are random monthly donations made?

  16. Do purchases made directly by the organization qualify for the minimum unit sales?

    Answer: Yes.

  17. What target groups does Genesis solicit within my donation zone to build the monthly donation pool?

    Answer: Genesis Fundraising is constantly soliciting nonprofit organizations within your Donation Zone to join our program. It is important to understand that every unit sold, regardless of whether the organization qualified for a random donation, contributes into the monthly Donation Pool. SEE TARGET CUSTOMERS

  18. What organizations have received a donation from Genesis?

    Answer: SEE DONATIONS MADE

  19. How do we sign up?

    Answer: Step #1- print out the FUNDRAISING AGREEMENT and complete. Step #2 – be sure to include a copy of your 501(c) certificate. Steps #3 – fax both copies to 941-244-0081. Step 4 – Once received and nonprofit status is verified, we will fax back a completed agreement and assign a user name and password for your account.

  20. If we are a school group, does the principal need to sign the agreement?

    Answer: Yes. All monies raised and donated by Genesis Fundraising are sent directly to the school for dispersal rather than to any specific participating group within the school structure. Therefore, we must have the principal's knowledge and approval before we can set up a user name and password account.

  21. What services will Genesis provide our group?

    Answer: 1. Marketing How-To Kit. 2. Automatic emails to past donors. 3. Updates to Marketing How-To Kit as other organizations improve their process. 4. Emails to your management team reminding of account status and qualifications for donations.

  22. How can donors find our group on the product selection website?

    Answer: Our product selection website, www.myonlinedonation.com, is set up for donors to easily find your organization by name or location. Also, we can link your organization's website to our website where donor can enter our website through yours and be automatically registered to donate to your organization.

  23. How does Genesis divide school subgroups?

    Answer: Once donors select your school, there will be a text box in the shopping cart where they can indicate a specific subgroup within the school (athletics, drama, etc.), or just donate to the schools general fund.

  24. How do we document our organization's nonprofit status?

    Answer: You must attach a copy of your 501(c) certificate with the fundraising agreement.

  25. Does Genesis donate a percentage of profits from all items sold or just from those items bought for the benefit of organizations who sold a minimum of 100 units?

    Answer: Genesis donates a percentage of each item sold, regardless of whether the item was purchased for a qualifying organization or a non-qualifying organization.

    Example for illustration purposes only:

    1,000 organizations within a donation zone have products purchased for their benefit within a calendar month

    100 organizations sell 100 units = 10,000 units (Qualifying Organizations)

    900 organizations sell 50 units = 45,000 units (Non-Qualifying Organizations)

    55,000 total units

    The donation pool is based upon the 55,000 total units and the one hundred (100) qualifying organizations, using this example, have a one in ten opportunity of receiving a random donation equal to ten percent of the entire donation pool.

  26. How does Viral Email Marketing work?

    Answer: The easiest, most cost effective way to inform your donor pool is to use a viral email campaign. Say your group has 10 members and each member sends out a donation request email to 10 people who, in turn, forward the original request email to 10 people each. That means your group has reached 1,000 potential donors strictly through email. If your group has 50, 100 or more active members, it is easy to see that your potential donation pool can reach an extremely large population of interested donors quickly and without great expense. The Genesis Marketing How-To Kit contains a sample email template which can be used.
